Who is responsible for your data?
KittyMystery is a puzzle game developed and published by [Your Name / Company], based in Belgium. We are the data controller for all personal data collected through this app.
This privacy policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What data do we collect?
| Data | Source | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Game progress & scores | Your device | Saved locally to track completed levels |
| Game Center profile (name, score) | Apple Game Center | Leaderboard display and competition |
| Device identifier (IDFA) | Your device | Personalised ads via Google AdMob (only with your consent) |
| Photos (optional) | Your photo library | Only if you choose to upload a custom puzzle image — never stored on our servers |
| Crash & diagnostic data | Your device | Improving app stability (via Apple and Google SDKs) |
Ads and consent
KittyMystery is free to play and supported by optional rewarded ads powered by Google AdMob. A rewarded ad plays between levels — you can always choose not to watch it.
When you first open the app, we will ask for your consent before showing personalised ads. If you are in the EU/EEA, this consent is required under GDPR. You can change your choice at any time in the app settings.
If you do not consent, non-personalised ads may still be shown. AdMob may collect the following for ad delivery: device identifiers, IP address (approximate location), app usage data, and ad interaction data.
For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
Why are we allowed to process your data?
Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — for personalised advertising via AdMob. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — for crash reporting and app stability. We have a legitimate interest in keeping the app working correctly.
Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — for game progress and leaderboard scores, which are necessary to provide the game service you requested.
Who do we share data with?
We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with these third-party services that are necessary to run the app:
| Service | Purpose | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Rewarded advertising | policies.google.com |
| Apple Game Center | Leaderboards & scores | apple.com/legal/privacy |
| Apple (iOS platform) | Crash reporting, app delivery | apple.com/legal/privacy |
How long do we keep your data?
Game progress is stored locally on your device and deleted when you uninstall the app. We do not retain personal data on our own servers.
Google AdMob and Apple Game Center retain data according to their own privacy policies, linked above.
